Some psychologists think that the best way to overcome and deal with the stress of daily life is to do absolutely nothing for a period of time. Do you agree or disagree?

Stress is a common problem that every individual is facing in this fast-paced life overcoming which is quite difficult. Staying inactive for some time in a day is said to be the perfect method to cope with everyday mental stress by some psychologists. In my opinion, it depends on the nature of the activity a person involved in daily routine.

At the outset, Being inactive for a period of time, no doubt is helpful for those living an active lifestyle. The people, who are indulged in physical activities for prolonged hours at work, do not have enough energy to involve in some recreational activities involving movement. It is necessary to take respite by doing nothing to relax the body from stress after a tiring day. For instance, the labourers do physical exertion for long hours and need to have rest by sleeping to recharge their batteries for doing work the next day.

However,  people leading a passive mode of Living are required to do some activities to relax their mind and alleviate the stress of work at the office as well as home. These people live a sedentary life and overburden their minds with the workload which leads to problems like obesity, diabetes, heart maladies and so on. Listening to music, indulging in sports activities, going for outings are better ways for them to deal with the stress. If they do nothing for a period of time then their life will be boring and monotonous which will result in more strain on the mind.

In conclusion, I would affirm that whether to get involved in some physical activities or to stay inactive counts on the style of life people live.
