- India is a diverse nation. It has many forts and places which are very useful to see.
- It reminds us of the history of our country.
- I was always fascinated with the thought of how the kings and queens used to live in the past and I had a great urge to see the big palaces where they spent their life.
- Once I had a chance to visit a city called Jaipur which is famous for these kinds of Palaces and Forts.
- Jaipur city was once painted pink to welcome the Prince of Wales, in 1876. Many of the avenues remained painted in pink, giving Jaipur a distinctive appearance and the epithet Pink city.
- I went to Jaipur approximately 10 years ago to meet my maternal uncle.
- He took me to a Fort. The name of the fort is Amer fort. It is very famous there.
- It is known for its artistic Hindu style elements. It was built in 1592 by Raja Man Singh.
- He told me the whole history of the fort and I came to know that at times Raja of this fort lived there with her 100 queens.
- The fort was painted with red and pink colour. It was also decorated with flower and light because the birthday of the king was about to come.
- When I went inside the fort I saw all the rooms of queens. Lots of pictures of king and queens were hanged on the wall of the main hall.
- There was a very peaceful environment and I spent 2-3 hours in that room.
- There were a lot of books in the main hall which described the lifestyle of the king and queens. I read one book and from that, I came to know some of the historical facts of the past related to that Fort.
- Near the fort, there was a big market where there were a lot of shops of traditional clothes, handmade items and artistic work. I did some shopping at those shops for my family members.
