Describe a cafe that you like to visit

You should say:

  1. -What cafe it is
  2. -Where it is
  3. -How often you go there
  4. -Why you like to visit this cafe
  • There is always a place I will keep coming back to week after week, and probably even year after year. And this place is a cafe located in the City Centre.
  • It’s relatively large, with room for about 50 people. It’s always busy although nearby there are several other cafes.
  • I can consider myself to be its regular visitor if we judge by a total number of visits without referring to the amount of food consumed because I sometimes drop in just to have a cup of coffee; sometimes I have a substantial meal.
  • Everything depends on my schedule, my mood, the people I am accompanied by and the amount of money I have on me. But whatever the case, I know I will find what to order and do there.
  • I like this place for many reasons. First of all, food is delicious; the menu is constantly enhanced and refined.
  • What’s important is that it is not insanely expensive. They always provide a complimentary mini- biscuit or Macaroon with your coffee or tea.
  • Another reason why I like it so much is that the service is efficient as I never have to wait for more than half an hour to be served.
  • It is a nice quiet place where I can pull out my laptop and work while waiting for my order. By the way, the Wi-Fi is fast.
  • It is a perfect place for meeting friends and celebrating special events such as birthdays. This cafe is also great for people-watching as it draws a wide variety of people.
  • As I have said before, it’s far more popular than all other cafes in the area. What’s more, it has a convenient location and ample parking space for all those who are visiting the cafe.
  • It’s homey and has a good vibe. So, I go there for the atmosphere, food, and convenience.

Eating out

  1. Will you choose a café or restaurant when you meet others?

A cafe definitely. Cafes serve coffee, cakes, light snacks and a variety of hot and cold beverages, so they are a perfect place for conversing on any topic enjoying some drink and sweet stuff. What is more, they offer a light casual environment which makes me feel more open with friends and close people. I really enjoy their great cozy atmosphere which lets me feel at home and focus only on the conversation without thinking if I am sitting right, eating right and if I am not laughing too loudly breaking formal restaurant etiquette. They are also less expensive than restaurants, which gives me more freedom of choice. All these reasons taken together push me to choose a cafe for friend get-togethers again and again.

  1. What are the differences between a café and a restaurant?

Well, I think these days the distinctions between Cafes and restaurants have narrowed down greatly leaving just a couple of distinguishing features. One of them, to my mind, is the Ambience. A cafe is a casual eating place serving mainly coffee, light snacks, and sweet stuff while a restaurant is more formal dining place serving a greater variety of foods and offering much more varied service. One more difference that comes to my mind is the price. Cafes are usually less expensive than restaurants. I can also at that cafes are an ideal place for family and friend get-togethers because they give guests more freedom wild restaurants are perfect for formal business meetings and conversations. I guess that’s it.
