    India is a diverse country.<\/span>\u00a0There are many types of animals found in India.<\/span>\u00a0There are pet animals, domestic animals, and wild animals.<\/span><\/p>\n

    \u00a0Here I am going to talk about an animal, which I saw for the first time in<\/span>\u00a0Mini zoo at Chandigarh.<\/span>\u00a0I saw it from a distance of eight to ten feet.<\/span>\u00a0It is the elephant<\/span>\u00a0I like it because even though it is a wild animal, it doesn\u2019t seem so<\/span>\u00a0intimidating as the lion or tiger.<\/span>\u00a0The elephants are the biggest land animals.<\/span>\u00a0They are herbivorous and can be identified because of their trunk.<\/span>\u00a0The trunk is the projection of their nose and the upper lips.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    There are two types of elephants, the Indian and the African.<\/span>\u00a0African elephants are bigger than their Indian counterparts.<\/span>\u00a0They have comparatively larger ears.<\/span>\u00a0Among the African elephants both the males and females have tusks<\/span>\u00a0whereas, only the males among the Indian elephants have tusks and<\/span>\u00a0So they are called tuskers.<\/span>\u00a0The back of the Indian elephants is convex whereas that of the<\/span>\u00a0African elephants are concave.<\/span>\u00a0Indian elephants can be tamed and they are more beautiful.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Elephants are gregarious animals and live in herds headed by tuskers.<\/span>\u00a0They have a well-structured family life.<\/span>\u00a0The young ones, called the calf, are looked after by the cow elephants.<\/span>\u00a0Their cry is called a trumpet.<\/span>\u00a0In India, elephants are captured, tamed, and used for various purposes.<\/span>\u00a0Elephants are among the few animals whose existence is not <\/span>endangered till now.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

    There are many other wild animals in my country such as tigers, leopards, snakes, camels, deer, <\/span>giraffes, rhinoceros, lions, hippos, alligators, crocodiles, monkeys, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n

    2<\/strong>. In general, how do people in your country feel about wild animals?<\/span>
    People have different feelings for wild animals. Some people are scared of them, some worship them, <\/span>some like them and especially go to the zoos to see them. Some even hunt wild animals for their <\/span>body parts.<\/span><\/p>\n

    People have different attitudes towards wild animals. Some people are scared of them, some worship <\/span>them, some like them and specially go to the zoos to see them. Some even hunt wild animals for their <\/span>body parts.<\/span><\/p>\n

    4<\/strong>. Do you like (all) wild animals? (Why?\/Why not?)<\/span>
    Yes, I like all wild animals but from afar. I love to see programs about wild animals on the Discovery <\/span>Channel and the National Geographic Channel and I even enjoy watching them in zoos.<\/span><\/p>\n

    5<\/strong>. In general, do you think people like wild animals?<\/span>
    Yes, I think they do. The Discovery Channel and the National Geographic Channel are very popular. <\/span>People even go to zoos to see them. Whenever I went to any zoo, I see a huge rush of people there.<\/span><\/p>\n

    6<\/strong>. Are there any wild animals that you dislike? Why?<\/span>
    I don\u2019t dislike any wild animal when I see it on TV or in the zoo. But I am sure, I don\u2019t want to be near <\/span>any wild animal in reality.<\/span><\/p>\n

    7<\/strong>. What about lions and tigers, do you like them? After all, they sometimes eat people<\/span>
    Normally lions and tigers are happy eating other animals of the wild like the zebras but only when <\/span>humans provoke them that they eat them.<\/span><\/p>\n

    8<\/strong>. In your country, are people’s attitudes towards wild animals today the same as people\u2019s attitudes <\/span>in the past?<\/span>
    Today, the attitude of people towards wild animals is quite different than in the past. Earlier people <\/span>were afraid of wild animals and used to worship them. They even used to hunt and kill them in great <\/span>numbers. However, today people are more aware of the importance of animals. They want to <\/span>conserve them.
