  • -why you think it was a wrong decision<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • Thank you for this opportunity to let me talk about this topic. I live in a joint family. Recently I experienced a situation when I had to disagree.<\/li>\n
    • An uncle made a decision which I could not agree with. But being the senior most person in the family, we all had to follow his orders and it did not matter whether we like that or not.<\/li>\n
    • Being an educated individual, I actually could not agree with him and protested against the decision. This is a great cue card topic for me and I will describe the events here in as much breif as I can.<\/li>\n
    • My uncle said that from any female of the family would not be able to take part in any outdoor earning activities. Although some of the females of our family were highly educated, uncle imposed a barrier for them to get out of home for any earning activities.<\/li>\n
    • In fact, it was not a suitable decision from him.\u00a0I politely opposed with my uncle\u2019s opinion. Actually, it was not the right decision.<\/li>\n
    • Of course, I appreciate his concern about the safety of the women of our family. But not letting them get involved in any productive activities is not a wise decision.<\/li>\n
    • So, I opposed the idea instantly in the family meeting. There was a mixed reaction when I opposed the idea.<\/li>\n
    • We are living in a modern age and not allowing the female folks to work points that we are wasting half of our human resources.<\/li>\n
    • Security is not a concerning issue anymore in the country and many of the women are participating in wage earning activities.<\/li>\n
    • If the females of my family do not work out of the home, they will lag behind in the race. And so, I disagreed with the decision for the aforesaid reasons.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      • It was a few years back when I was still in college that I was\u00a0offered an opportunity\u00a0<\/strong>to go on a voluntary trip to X, the most\u00a0<\/strong>worth-living\u00a0city in our country.<\/li>\n
      • I\u00a0was over the moon\u00a0<\/strong>when first hearing the news but all my\u00a0anticipation\u00a0and happiness fled away when my parents\u00a0flatly rejected\u00a0the idea.<\/li>\n
      • I was\u00a0dumbfounded\u00a0<\/strong>since my time and effort spent on the preparation for our project wasn\u2019t about to be\u00a0paid off.<\/li>\n
      • However, I was old enough to know better than\u00a0making a fuss\u00a0about it at the moment; instead, I gave myself time and peace before\u00a0reasoning\u00a0with my parents.<\/li>\n
      • It came as no surprise to me\u00a0when they took their all-time-favorite excuse that I was too immature to take care of myself and that there were plenty of\u00a0untrustworthy\u00a0people willing to take advantage of me out there when I was unaware.<\/li>\n
      • Much as I tried to assure them how well I would manage to stay safe and help other\u00a0underprivileged\u00a0people, I just couldn\u2019t\u00a0get through<\/li>\n
      • As a result, I had no options but\u00a0withdrawing\u00a0from the project with regrets. However, I wasn\u2019t able\u00a0to hold a grudge against\u00a0my parents for long because I understood they were just\u00a0overprotective\u00a0and\u00a0genuinely\u00a0concerned about my well-being.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
