One of them was the hospital at the top right. Besides that, there was a shopping centre to its left and a car park and a farmland were available below these two buildings. In next 20 years, the shopping centre was demolished and two new small buildings were constructed, a pharmacy attached with the hospital and a cancer centre. In addition, farmland was replaced with nursing school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2000, the cancer centre was expanded to cover the entire nursing school. Furthermore, the area for the car park was reduced to its half to make room for the nursing school. The only place which remained unchanged during the whole time period was the main hospital building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>OR<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>The diagrams show Queen Mary Hospital at three different stages in its development: 1960, 1980 and 2000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Overall, the most noticeable changes were the replacement of the shopping center and farmland with the cancer center and pharmacy and the capacity of the car park had been reduced by a half.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 1960, the hospital was built close to the main road and next to the right of a shopping center. A large area behind the hospital was turned into a car park, while the area behind the shopping center was farmland. By 1980, the shopping center had been demolished in order to make way for two buildings which became a pharmacy and a cancer center. Furthermore, the farmland got converted into a nursing school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2000, the main hospital building remained unchanged but the cancer center was extended to cover the entire nursing school.
