In recent years, men have shown their willingness to take on the role of househusband, while more women than ever are the breadwinners in their families. This is the result of the economic and sociological changes in the society and I consider it to be a positive trend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the outset, the evolutionary developments in the society have compelled the parents to adapt to various changes. The ever escalating cost of living forces both marriage partners to work and save money before starting a family. Therefore, when couples have offspring, they may decide who works and who stays at home depending on the personal preference of each partner or based on which partner earns the most. At the same time, equal rights movement has also contributed to this change. Now society has become accustomed to these new norms that empower women to gain qualifications and pursue a career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In my view, the changed scenario described above should undoubtedly be seen as progress. The society in which we live today gives equal opportunities to both genders and now women are not pressured to sacrifice their careers. In addition to this, sometimes father is more caring than mother and in that case he could take the responsibility of childcare, and mother can become the bread earner for the family. In this way, a child also gets the required environment for his psychological development. It has also been socially acceptable that men can stay at home and look after their children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In conclusion, people\u2019s struggle to meet basic needs and social acceptance of equal rights of both genders have changed the parents\u2019 role however I strongly believe that such a development is absolutely desirable and progressive for the society.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
