Modern life indicates an increasing trend in people\u2019s preference to live alone particularly in large cities in the developed world. In my view, this is a positive development and can bring many benefits like independence and career advancement in people\u2019s lives. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The disadvantage of this development is individuals will tend to alienate from family and even experience feelings of loneliness, isolation, and worry. In other words, when they get ill, it is difficult to get any help or they can miss out on the supportive conversation with family.\u00a0<\/span> <\/p>\n\n\n\n Despite this, the main advantage it can bring is that people who choose to live alone may become more independent and self-reliant than those who live with family members because they have the freedom to take their own decisions. They will bear the responsibility of every decision they make in their life. A young adult, who lives alone, for example, also needs to learn to cook, clean, pay bills and manage his budget, all of which are valuable life skills.\u00a0<\/span> <\/p>\n\n\n\n In addition to this, such a trend will result in greater opportunities for career growth.
