It is generally considered that being a university\ngraduate is the key to securing a good job, while there are others who think\nthat it is better to have experience and soft skills. In my opinion, I believe\nthat having university education is essential for academic jobs while soft\nskills and experience are more useful when hired in business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the one hand, many argue it is\neasier for most people to find a good job if they are university graduates with\na good degree. Because\nhaving tertiary education can be the deciding factor in getting a good job. The\ncompetition to get in to universities and the increasing number of graduates\nshow just how significant this level of education is for people\u2019s future work\nopportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the other hand, having work\nexperience and soft skills, such as leadership skills and other interpersonal\nskills, can also do much favour\nto the applicant, according to some. For many positions there are an\noverwhelming number of applicants and, therefore, having relevant experience or\nuseful soft skills that can be valuable to a company, can put one ahead of the\ngame when applying for a position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, in my opinion, whether\nneeding high level education or skills and experience, depends on the position\nbeing applied for. Take for example law, medicine or teaching, it is impossible\nto be considered for a position without the required educational background. In\ncontrast, in business, it would be more important for a candidate to have soft\nskills and experience so they\ncan step into a position without further training and be of immediate benefit\nto the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In conclusion, getting a good job\nrequires a relevant background either in experience or education depending on\nthe type of work and field. People should make sure they attain the necessary\nskills or degrees before applying for a job in order to be sure of success.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
