Discuss both sides of this argument and then give your own opinion."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>There is an ever-increasing use of technology, such as tablets and laptops, in the classroom. It is often argued that this is a positive development, whilst others disagree and think it will lead to adverse ramifications. In my opinion, I believe that an increase in technology is beneficial to both students and teachers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One the one hand, some people\nincluding me consider that the internet has provided students with access to\nmore information than ever before. Moreover, learners have the ability to\nresearch and learn about any subject at the touch of a button. In addition,\ntechnology has allowed educators to share their knowledge beyond the classroom\nenvironment. It is therefore agreed that technology is a worthwhile tool for\neducation. Search engine google is a prime example, where students can simply\ntype in any keyword and gain access to in-depth knowledge quickly and easily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the other hand, many feel that\ntechnology deprives people of real human interaction. Human interaction teaches\npeople valuable skills such as discourse, debate and empathy. In other words,\ncomputers can not motivate and influence students nor it can teach leadership\nand communication skills. Despite this, human interaction is still possible\nthrough the internet and this essay disagrees that technology should be\ndismissed for this reason. For instance, Skype and Facebook make it possible\nfor people to interact in ways that were never possible before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In conclusion, while the benefits of\ntechnology, particularly the internet, allow students to tap in to limitless\nsources of information, some still feel that people should be wary of this new\nphenomenon and not allow it to curb face to face interaction.
